  1. Thanks for the advice guys , I will try this when I get back to the car later on.
  2. Hi Guys, When leaving the car at the station this morning, I pulled the keys out of the ignition and the central interior light didn't come on... I thought no big deal maybe it's acting up. Anyways, I leave the car and then try and use the key to lock it and nothing happens! I try my wife's key and get the same result. The light on the dash is flashing away when the key is pressed and if I lock the driver’s door only the driver’s door locks and the horn sounds to warn me that the passenger door is open. If I sit in the car and use the central locking button on the dash all doors lock and unlock as normal... I just cannot lock the car from the outside! I've now left the car at the station with only the driver’s door locked as I had no option (work and all!). Also, while I remember, I tried to put the key in the ignition after first trying to lock and unlock the doors with the key and it wouldn't go in... is this all related to a ignition fault which seems to be a common fault on the 996 (by reading the threads on this forum)? I'm going to be going to the local Porsche Indi later today to try and get this sorted but I was hoping someone out there in Renntech land may be able to help. Cheers, Martin
