  1. Recently, the top on my boxster got stuck and I had to manually close the top. Unfortunately, while waiting for my appt to get the top fixed, it rained and water leaked into the floor on the passenger side(about an inch of H2O). I may need to replace the carpet if it doesn't dry out nicely. I had gotten an estimate of $2400 for parts/labor(1300/1100). However, I can order the carpet myself for $600 (986 551 011 02 EEW). Does anyone know how easy it would be to remove and replace the carpet? I only need to replace the part on the passenger side floor, however, I think the carpet is sold as one piece for the whole interior. Do I need any special materials/tools? Thanks, Brian
  2. I just had a problem with my boxster top, too. It appears that one of the motors died on me. I felt pretty silly standing in the middle of a parking lot with the top halfway up. I spent about an hour trying to close the top manually and finally got the top back up. Does anyone know where I should go to get spare motor, rods, levers to make the repair to the top? Should I just order the parts from a dealer or is there a cheaper place to order them? Thanks, BPC
