  1. If I were you, at this point I would invest in the Durametric cable and use the actual values logging function while you drive the car. You can see if things like throttle position change in an unusual way. The Durametric is well worth the money if you already have a suitable laptop to use with it.
  2. You mentioned that the problem is like having the cruise control on. Does the cruise control behave in a normal fashion when clutch is depressed?
  3. How do you know if the convertible top needs to be calibrated? My 996 (1999) top closes perfectly but the top indicator light no longer goes out and the window up operation is not performed. I can hear a relay clicking when you would expect the windows to be going up. Durametric shows no fault codes. Thanks in advance if you have any information about this!
  4. Is there any external marking or other way to identify a remanufactured engine as opposed to an original production one?
