I installed the Eibachs about 2 weeks ago, I also compared the springs side by side. The Eibach springs were a little taller themselves...I wouldn't worry about it. Install them let them settle for about a month then get an alignment with a full tank of gas. The stock springs have more resistance compared to the sports. The car will look nice once they are installed.

Hello guys, I was just curious if anyone else has installed any type of Parrot bluetooth products in your guy's cars. I have a 99' 911 and I am trying to install the Parrot bluetooth but there are so **** many wires. Here is the diagram for it, I was just going to splice and tap into my existing wires since I dont have any wiring harnesses. There are wires like mute 1,2, and 3....wtf...I am lost...hahah any help would be greatly appreciated....Thanks!!! :D

its a 99...there is plus and minus but i put it down to minus and leave it there (off) still manages to be at the last temp with it being on when i start the car back up...
Can you use the minus button to make it say "oFF"?What year is your car?
I can't remember anything that is "settable" with the Porsche System Tester - but I'll have to look again.

Loren,
the manual is displayed but still manages to still be on auto when i start the car everytime...is there any other options?
thx
To turn the blower off -- make sure the "Auto" control is off (manual is displayed) by using the minus button to lower the speed control until all the bars disappear and the display show "oFF".
The oil filer tool has been covered here many times - please do a search.

Does anyone know how to keep this **** blower motor off. I guess the previous owner programmed it where it always turns on when you turn on the car...I just want to leave it off and when I want it on, I'll turn it on...also looking for an oil filter tool. Where can I find one?
thanks!!

I know BMW and Volkswagon take blue coolant. Something special about it for the aluminum...I'm sure your ok though..
Hi, does anyone have blue coolant in your 996 C2? I bought a used 99 C2 and it has a blue coolant in it. I asked a dealership about this and they said they have never seen a blue coolant from Porsche. I am curious whether anyone have the same coolant as mine and if not, whether it is safe keeping this coolant in the car.Thank you much for any response.

Dan's precision alignments (Encinitas) is pretty good, he works on mercedes, bmw, porsche, and trucks...all he does is suspension and alignment work. He does local body shop repair issues as well. Tell him Doug from Brads referred you, his number is 760-753-0481

Hello guys,
I am new to the board and I am looking at a 99' carrera with 64k miles on the clock. It does need a clutch and prob a rms since someone will be in there. What does a clutch and rms normally run about? Say the car is in good condition, no aero kit...just a stock carrera. And..what if i just bought the car as-is...(needing clutch and rms), what is the value of the vehicle in that condition?
Thanks for your guys' help!!

Has anyone else had this problem? You crank the motor over to start it and it seems like there is a smal delay and its slower then most start ups...it has a new battery from Porsche from the previous owner...not sure if it needs a new battery of if its something else....any suggestions?
