  1. I pulled up a little of the trunk carpet just to get my hands down in there to feel for any coolant. At first glance I did not notice any, but like I only checked around the edges I could get my hands to. I'll check the power steering levels today. THX... -Craig
  2. Hi...newbie here....just found these forums tonight, looks like lots of good info. Last summer I bought a 99 Porsche Boxster 2.5, 5 spd. Has about 17K miles on it now. Here's my question... I drove my Boxster today for the first time in about 3 weeks. When I came home, I noticed a spot (5" in diameter) on the floor, right near the rear tire (driver's side US model). It almost looks like the fluid was sprayed...possibly discharged upon startup. I can't tell for sure what it was. It seemed a little oily, but it's hard to tell as the garage floor is old and even water can feel oily after sitting on it. I don't think it was coolant. It's not leaking with the car just sitting, and starting the car up a few hours later did not reproduce the same symptoms. Any thoughts? All engine fluid levels look fine, I don't notice any smoke or odd smells. I don't have any signs of coolant in the trunk. Anybody seen something like this or should I just shut up and not worry about it until I see it again? THX... -Craig
