  1. On your 944, are you getting a red 'battery light' on the left gauge? The battery light completes the circuit. If it is loose or broken that the battery will drain dead. Found out the hard way but it was an easy fix.
  2. E-bay is a great place to find it cheap.
  3. I did not have a heat gun but I used a hair dryer with a putty blade. It took some time but it worked. Goo gone and a little WD-40 to finish it off. Took all night but looks much better.
