  1. Thanks for your advice Chris, that was really nice I've already checked the fuse next to the driver door, everything there is fine. So next step is to order some of the removal keys you were talking about and see whats going on behind the radio Guess I have to be patient Oh and...I try to stay away from the dealership as much as possible(the closest ones are 1,5 and 2 hours away), I'm aware of the sky high costs, but there's not one place here in little Boonyville that will work on the car, as soon as they hear porsche they take 3 steps back and act as if I'm driving some alien space ship :P So thanks all of you for your advice
  2. Thanks for your quick reply PK :) and you are probably right about the "porsche" battery, but the one and only they had in the store doesn't seem to fit right and I only have one metal bracket to the left to hold the battery, guess i'm just being a chicken there. And yes, the battery died on me within lesser than 3 hours, started up alright in the morning and then after 3 short stops (car turned off and back on within the hour)...it was dead. But what do you mean with radio code? Even if I have a code...it won't turn ON, no messages come up at all no matter how long I push the "on" button. Am I forced now to drive to the dealership?
  3. Hope someone can help. I'm driving a 2003 Boxster 2.7 , last week without any warning the battery died in the middle of a shopping center parking lot, I was parked right next to a Auto supply store . So I had to buy an emergency battery just to get back home and there had to order a porsche battery from the dealership (was surprised they have none in stock, but oh well), supposedly it'll be there in 2 weeks. So now the car starts right up, everything works fine but the radio itself(a Cdr-23) stays dead. Did I blow a fuse? Did the guy that put the battery in forget to hook up a cable somewhere he should have? Sorry for asking such a stupid Question, but maybe someone can give me the right idea where to start looking? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance
