  1. Hi guys thanks for the replys. I've checked the fuses and the engine latch and both were fine. I was thinking it could be low hydrolic fluid but would that really cause the the clamshell not to operate at all? And yes, it is stuck in the closed position.
  2. Hi, was wondering if i could get anybody's advice on this. I went to put the top down on my 2002 cab and suddenly it will not open. I've had this car for 6 years and have never had any issues with the top opening or closing. The latch will hook and unhook when i turn the key in the door or use the button inside the car but the convertible compartment lid does not move at all. The hand brake and convertible top lights both illuminate. Is there a fuse that is specific to the compartment lid that i should check or something? Thanks in advance for any help you guys could give me.
  3. is there a certain way that you have to angle the screwdriver in order to hit the latch? I tried again last night even with a flash light and I just can't seem to hit it. Thanks
  4. Loren thanks so much for the response. When i stick the screwdriver in all i feel is an empty space. How far is the tab inside? is it directly on the bottom or to the right or left or something? Also if i am lucky enough to fumble around and hit the tab will the control just pop off or do i have to pull on it?? Thanks again
  5. I am trying to replace the headlight switch on my 02 996. I am having a hard time finding the tab that unlocks the control from the dash. When I insert the small flat head screw driver at the 6 oclock position what am I looking for? I have been at this for the last 40 min and cant sem to get it unlocked and I don't want to break it :( Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
