  1. Thanks Paul. Do you think there will be any issue with putting an ~ 1 inch thick piece of foam between the hood and latch and just latch the trunk down until the safety latch catches? The purpose of the foam would be keep the hood from vibrating during transit and then no battery would be needed to open the trunk at the destination.
  2. I am shipping my 2006 997S to Europe this week and the moving company requires that the battery be disconnected once the car is in the container (steaming company requires it) The car is already with the moving company so I cannot look up the info in the manual and figured somone on this board would have the expertise to give a simple, precise overview of what to be aware of when disconnecting the battery. Can the car be locked after the battery is disconnected? I seem to remember reading on another forum that people have had problems when their battery goes dead. Any other issues to be aware of? Thanks in advance for the help.
