  1. Can anyone help? I've got a problem with my CD autochanger in my Boxster, when I insert the CD magazine I sometime find that some of the discs are not recognised. If I remove the magazine and re-insert it, but first rearranging the discs, the changer will sometimes recognise all the discs. My local Porsche centre has replaced the PCM and autochanger under warranty but they now say that the fibre optic cable will need to be replaced which will involve a new car wiring loom and the need to remove the dashboard! The fact that some of the disc will work would suggest that the fibre optic cable is OK and the fault is with the changer or PCM. The car is only six months old and I don't really want the dash out. Is this a known fault with a simple solution or is a new fibre optic cable the only remedy? Thanks
