  1. Hello I am trying to install a Kuda holder in my 997.The fist step is to remove the trim around the gear shift. This piece is the lower portion of the center console . I dont see how it is removed.I think the gear shift boot is removed to expose some screws but I dont wish to force it off. Does the boot just clip in/on with spring steel tabs? Thanks Marc Update: I found that you must unclip the shift boot to expose 4 screws. The lower center console pc has 2 plastic mounting spikes in front of the gear shift opening.Lift up as you pivot assembly up.The Kuda mount looks great however there is some interference on the lower left corner.I belt sanded a fair amount from the bottom/side.The mount still puts pressure on the lower center console and makes it hard to line everything up.If there is any interference it tends to twist the lower console making all the fitting lines ascew.
