  1. Hello all on renntech !! I have heard that you can replace the dash speakers on the 986 boxster as you all will know that they are no the best standard speaker set up .. My cars a 98 model with no upgraded system fitted. Ive read that you can fit aftermarket speakers which are the 10cm/4" ones & these will attatch to the orignal speaker grills on the dash . Just that i have seen some 3 way speakers which might do the job but not 100% .. If anybody knows about this please let us know as id be very greatful on the advice to guide me in the right direction. Cheers Matt

If you have any idea on repairing or replacing id much appreciate the help .. Thanks again Matt

Hello again i have tonight replaced all the plugs & replaced 2 of the coils which were split i still, have the same problem i have checked the alarm module & it is wet so going to have to sort the leak out & dry the carpet .. I really dont think it is anything to do with that alarm module presonally .. 8. Hi mate the battery has been fine but could do with checking it like you say before stripping car , not sure the best way to check though as i cant take to a garage .. All lights on dash are bright & starts first time just doesnt want to stay running on its own .. Might clean the MAF sensor tommorow to see if that helps as well going to be a busy day !! .. Just have to be carefull with my plastic window with this cold weather we have round here dont want to crack it again ... Thanks Matt
  9. RFM , Hi mate thanks for that think you know what im on about the buzzings coming from under the trim . where you pull the lever in the car to open the bonnet/boot . What does this control i.e does it control anything to do with the engine as its not running as it shoul since this started making the noise , Checked all fuses this morning all are fine took it to the petrol to see if was anything to do with the fuel . Didnt drive so well was lack of power & trying to cut out , The buzzing noise had gone on the start of the journey but as i was putting car back on the drive noise started up again but went off preety much straight away , Im able to to keep the battery on now as the noise isnt there now when cars not running. Thanks Matt
  10. thanks mate cheers for that , so the alarm control module is located under the lever which you open the boot & bonnet Thanks Matt
  11. Juniinc , Hi mate sorry mate its the lever which opens the boot & bonnet from inside the car .. Cheers bud Matt
  12. hello all i have checked the fuses & when i was checking pulled a fuse out of row C fuse 3 which is for the Central locking/alarm system power windows & inside lights then the noise stops . car still doesnt run correctly with fuse out . 14. Hi mate i thought it was the fuel pump to, the buzzing is continuous if the engines running or not , the car has electric seats but the sound is coming from under the bonnet & boot catch so wouldnt of thought it would be that. Very strange not sure how to dismantle the trim to have a look behind the sill to check bit weird as since the noise started the car wont run as it should .. Cheers Matt
  15. Hi all need a bit of advice on whats up with my Boxster 2.5 98 model.
