  1. this looks like the sensors as i have had the exhaust checked over for leaks and replaced the air filter still no joy still reading 1.04...;-) Can someone advise if I will need to replace all 4 lambda sensors or the 2 that are pre cat or post cat. At 80 quid each they are quite steep thanks
  2. the value is 1.04 the lambda tolerence on a UK MOT is 0.97- 1.03 not sure if its the HC or CO. I'm taking it down to jz machtech on thursday for a porsche diagnostic test. With this test will they know if its the Maf, lambda, or exhaust leak ? the other thing i did was take the foam off the back of the filter would this make a difference?
  3. quick query. I have the PSE fiited to my 2001 boxster S with the valves in permanent sports mode. The car has just gone thru it's UK MOT but the high idle rev emission test is 0.01 outside the tolerated value. My question is should the offical PSE effect this emisssion value when its in permanent sports mode. OR does this not matter and somthing else could be causing the high reading eg. faulty lamda sensor. I have also de-snorkled the car could this also effect the lamda sensor readings ie the car is now running to rich ? Anybody had a similar situation with the their local emmision test station with a similar boxster setup ?... :(
  4. the valve test has shown the one of them is not doing anything so it looks like a new muffler to me,,, I wonder how it got damged inside ?
  5. TP, I'm getting the local OPC to inspect it tomorrow. the thing is that these rods appear loose on mine and offer liitle resistence hence why im thinking they have been damaged. I havn't got one of those tools so its going to be difficult I presume anotehr way of testing is pulling down on the rod and to see if you get the gas flow re-direct.. ?
  6. can someone please confirm if they have ordered a tequipment sports exhaust recently that the valves do come in the open posistion ? if not do you have to weld the flaps in the open posistion ? is their a way to determine that the rod actuators at the bottom of the muffler are working how they should be to get a permenant sports exhaust sound im having difficulty in understanding after installing just the muffler why im not getting the sports sounds.. maybe the actuators could of been damaged in transit the car is a 2001 boxster S manual. have posted this elsewhere so forgive me this issue is driving me nuts
