  1. update: the taillight blinks fast when i engage the blinker. what does that indicate? thanks for everyone's help... josh
  2. All, my drivers side turn signal recently stopped working. when i try to engage it i get the fast blinking indicator light on the dash. when i arm the alarm, only the passengers side light blinks outside the car. i changed the bulb today, but that didn't fix it. i also looked for a fuse that might be causing this, but it didn't look like there are separate fuses for the drivers and passengers side turn indicators, so i ruled out fuses. so, it's not the bulb, it's not the fuse, what else could it be? before i start tracing wiring, does anyone have any other things to look for? thanks... josh
  3. Hi all, I installed a B&M shifter in my 2002 C4S a couple of months ago. Yesterday, while putting the car in reverse, something came loose and there was a lot of side to side movement of the shifter while in gear. I was still able to shift though. Today I took everything apart and found the problem. There are 2 cables going to the shifter, blue and white. The white one has a ball pivot that snaps into the shifter. The blue one simply has a round base that attaches to the shifter. There is a washer that goes on here as well. The thing I can't figure out is what is supposed to keep the blue cable in place with the shifter? The washer (pictured below) had come off of mine, and I can put it back in, but is there supposed to be something there (like a nut or something) that prevents it from slipping off the shifter cable? I know this is kinda confusing, so please see pics below. In the second pic, the blue cable is connected to the white "stub" coming off the shifter base. How does this stay on without slipping off the side? thanks... josh UPDATED: ok, someone has figured out the piece that's missing which should hold these 2 parts together. It's not available from the dealer without ordering the entire shifter housing, so I don't want to do that. Can anyone think of any ideas for holding these 2 parts together? What if I simply glued them together? Do they need to be able to rotate or anything? Please see link below for the part that SHOULD be there. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/atta...mp;d=1191525592 this is the piece from the shifter that is supposed to go into the link cables. this is the linkage connected to the shifter, but not secured in anyway to the shifter (this is what i'm trying to figure out how it should be secured) this is the washer that goes in between the linkage and the shifter.
  4. UPDATE: Here's what I've done so far (in addition to hooking up the speaker wires): from the diagrams I've linked below... Kenwood wire A goes to Becker wire Socket A #7 Kenwood wire B goes to Becker wire Socket A #4 Kenwood wire C goes to Becker wire Socket A #8 When I plug it in, I get no display at all. I do have power because the upside down triangle light is blinking and hitting eject causes the screen to flip up. When I push the system reset button or flip the screen up, I can notice the back light change somewhat, but still no display. What could cause there to be no display at all? Have I missed a step? Thanks in advance for any help... josh ________________________________________________________________________ Older post before I wired everything up... looking at the Kenwood wiring diagram, I understand the speaker wiring part, but I'm a little confused on the power wiring. I've scanned the Kenwood wiring diagram - it's at http://www.jother.com/kenwood/kenwood.jpg The wires I'm not sure about are A, B and C. I read in another post where they mention that the undocumented Bose wire should go to the blue Kenwood wire (I'm assuming that's the "Motor antenna control wire" on the Kenwood diagram, correct?) I've also posted the Becker wiring diagram from the owners manual. It's available at http://www.jother.com/kenwood/becker.jpg If anyone can help with Kenwood wires A,B and C, that would be much appreciated. thanks... josh
