  1. I have a 2003 UK spec Boxster S. My brake warning light came on when on holiday, and as my font pads were relatively new, I assumed the rears were at the limit. So I ordered new pads and sensors, fitted them today, but the old pads were not worn down to the sensors. I've now checked all four sensors, and all pass a current, and all seem to be plugged in to their sockets securely. Where else can I check, as it looks like the circuit is broken somewhere else?

    Are you sure it is the pad wear warning and not low fluid warning?

    The dash says "service warning brake pad wear" or similar. Brake fluid level is ok, as I checked that when doing the pads to make sure I didn't have too much!

  3. My 2003 Boxster 3.2s has 18" wheels. It's done 85000 miles. I've had all four suspension control arms replaced, and the alignments are all within spec.I live in rural Oxfordshire (uk) and the roads are quite rough. The car is very sensitive and follows every rut, camber, and even prominent white lines can be felt as pushing the car around. My daily driver is a diesel Skoda, and on anything other than super smooth wide roads, it's will get me there faster than the Boxster.I'm not sure where to go next: should I try smaller wheels (I used 16" on my 964) or is this something that can be fixed by suspension alignment, I'd so, what should I alter, and how?

    You cannot go too small on the wheels because they will not clear your brakes. I am also not sure the you can dial this out with an alignment, but would suggest talking to a quality alignment shop in your area to see if they can help in any way.

    This is part of my problem - the alignment guys say "its within spec"
