  1. You can buy -- just the flap cover from Sunset --- about $60.00 each. Buy 2 and replace both.

I took my car to a Dealer -- Baker Porsche - Charleston, SC for a freebie check up -- got it back with a broken flap on visor. They tried to glue back together -- did not work. They just said they break all the time and I could order the whole assembly in the Parts Dept.

Last time I set foot in that Dealer.

    Easy replacement --- Good Luck.

  2. I have a spare set of working 996 Cats. Can I take out either the front ceramic section or rear and increase sound to a more agressive level?

When you look in the O2 hole you can see the front section and the rear section. Both are the honey comb ceramic type. The cats are off a 3.4 - 996. I am looking for a more agressive sound but not real loud -- I have the muffler hack.

We do not have smog testing in my state. In order to not get a CEL I could install the 90 degree O2 sensor mods.

    Thanks for any help.

  3. Exhaust question - I have a 99 Cab - C2. In my quest for better sound and possibly a few extra HP. I upgraded to the hacked mufflers --- not what I expected. I live in a state that does not have emissions checks. I am thinking the next step is to take out the cats weld in a bypass pipe with the o2 bungs and use the o2 adaptors with my original sensors. My question is -- 1. Will I get a CEL? 2. Will I get a deeper Porsche sound? 3. Do I need to have my computer changed to Euro. settings?

    Thanks
