  1. Hi All, I would like to install an intertainment system in my wives cayenne tt. Therefore I have to remove the rear of the front seats (for the tft screen cable). For the first time I would like not to ruin things first before I find out how it works. Could somebody please tell me how to remove the plastic from the seat? Thanks, Frank.
  2. Hi, Check the rear lid this weekend! Running the engine, did not change a thing. The remote works, but the switch doesn't do anything. Managed to repair the horns though!! Frank
  3. Thanks for the quick reply, Could you perhaps describe how 'heavy'opening the lid is? does it go light (two fingers), or do you need to use 'two hands'?
  4. Hi All, Finally not a problem for my turbo '03 but just a technicalquestion. For installing the rear entertainment system I need to have a little bit of 12V current linked to the ignition switch (only current on them when the ignition switch is NOT off). Wondering whether I can use power for the rear seat heating (at the swiches??). Any help or suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks, frank
  5. Hi, My wife just mentioned that opening the rear lid of our turbo '03 goes quite 'heavy'. Looks like the gas spring lack some power. I am thinking of looking into this, but could somebody tell me how to find them (looked into it, but I am affraid to ruin something. Thanks, Frank
  6. Guys, thanks for the replies. I checked the button by exchanging it with the fuel cap button and this did not change a thing. Must admit that I had 1 door open and the engine was not running. I will check it this weekend (when I am at home) whether it works with an running engine. Thanks a lot
  7. When the car has air suspension, there is a setting called "jack mode". At least this is what the manual of my turbo says. You have the push the air suspension (when in normal level) button upwards for 5-10 seconds. Then the display will say that the car is in Jack mode. To get it back, repeat the procedure. Frank
  8. Hi, I have jacked up my car without putting the system in jack mode (V8 turbo). After reading the manual (I know too late) I see that I had to put the system in "jack mode". Could I have damaged something? Do I have to do something (go to the dealer to reset something? Thanks, frank
  9. Hi Loren, Thanks for the very quick reply. Am I right that I can also remove the lower part of the bumper (I think I read it somewhere on the forum that this is a possiblity as well)? The picture really helps, thanks
  10. Hi all, Could somebody point me in the direction of the horns. I have not been able to find them (slightly affraid to take of the bumper). Does somebody perhaps have a picture or diagram? Thanks, frank
  11. hi, I have (another) problem with my cayenne turbo '03. The button for the rear lid (next to the fuel lid opener button) in the drivers door doesn't work. I have checked the switch and it is fine. When I use my remote, the lid opens so the motor is fine as well. When I pull the switch, I hear a small click in the fuse box. Not quite sure what to do next, any hints/ideas?? Thanks, frank.
  12. Hi, tried to take off the nose today, but I was not completely sure jow to do it (whether there are screws under the headlights). therefore I took oot the grills, trying to find the horns. I was not able to find them. Did I do something wrong? Where are the horns precizely located? Any diagrams, pictures? Thanks. Frank
  13. Thanks, I will take off the nose then and check the horns. Thanks a lot fo the help!
  14. Hi, What do you mean with the front shield: The plate under the nose or the nose itself?? I suppose you mean the plate? Strange thing though is that they do work: only they sound like an old, lazy COW (not clear and loud). Perhaps cleaning will do the trick? Does anybody know where I can get the workshop manual. Thanks, Frank.
  15. Hi All, I have a small problem with the horn of my 2003 cayenne TT. When I honk, it sounds like there is a dying cow under the hood. I am planning on cleaning it this weekend, but actually: I do not know where it is located? Could anybody perhaps locate me in the right direction? Thanks, frank.

  17. Hi, I have just bought a used 2003 cayenne turbo (40K miles). I did notice something strange: At normal height, the car brakes and drives great. At low height, there is a strange feeling when I break (normal or heavy). As soon as I let the brakes go, there is a short "shake". It is best described as the feeling that the front suspension "moves" back half an inch. I know this doesn't sound logical, but I don't know how to describe it otherwise. I will take the car to the dealer, but I was just wondering whether this is a known problem for somebody. Thanks, frank.
  18. Hi All, I have just bought a cayenne turbo (2004) for my wife. The buttons on the steering wheel are slightly damaged and therefore I would like to replca them. Does anybody have any experience in this or a DIY link? My steeringwheel has the 4LC option (multifunction including mobile phone) Thanks in advance
