  1. Hi Micheal, This was my guess as well. Thanks. Out of curiosity: how much did they charge you for the fix? When the cables snapped on your cab, did you also experience problems with opening the top? Mine goes down, but just as the cover should start to move the error ' convertible top not in limit position' pops up on the display. Regards, frank
  2. error says: convertible top not in limit position. tried it 5 times in the last 20 minutes. Worked once. Top goes down completely. Then I hear noice of the engine, but nothing happend. Then after 5 seconds the roof stops and the error pops up! Any suggestions? Regards, frank
  3. Hi Loren, Thanks for your reply. ok, any way I can visually inspect the microswitches? Don't really have time now do drop by the dealer. regards, frank
  4. Hi, A new problem popped up today with my cab. My roof opens, but the decklid does not close. The display gives an error: roof not fully open (or something simular). Tried it 4 times and the last time it worked. Drove away with my top down and 10 minutes later, on a roundabout, the error message popped up briefly. I suspect that the sensor needs cleaning. I assume that there is a sensor that detects that the roof is folded down and that the lid can close. Any idea where is is located? Regards, frank
  5. Hi All, Noticed today that my roof does not close very wel on my cab. The top closes completely on my 997s '05, but the fabric stays 'open' just above the point where the driver and rear window meet. I have seen that there is a steel cable that should pull everything in place. I did notice a strange sound yesterday (perhaps a snapping cable?). I have attached a picture of the problem area. Is this something that can be fixed? Do I need to replace the cable? Do I need to tighten the cable somewhere? Help is much appreciated. Regards, frank
  6. Hi Loren, Sorry: 997 carrera S cab, 2005! When standing in front of the car is it located left or right from the battery? Do I need to remove plastic for this? Regards and have a great weekend. Frank.
  7. I need to replace the alarm siren. Does anybody know where this is located? I know that it is somewhere in the truck. But where? Thanks, frank
  8. Hi, The weather is finally improving, so flipt the top today (997 Cs cab)! When I closed it again I noticed the my right rear quarter window did not close completely. Looked at it and noticed that the rubber seal 'got 'flipped' by the rear window. When it closes it slides along the roof seal, but where two ends of the rubber meet, the rubber flippes. Do I need to replace the seal? Regards, frank
  9. Hi, I need to remove one of the alluminum doortrims on the driver door. This is the trim next to the door handle. Don't want to break anything, so asking up front Regards, frank
  10. guys, Thanks a lot for the reply. Can't remember seeing a submenu "tyremonitoring". Could it be that I do nothave it onmy european turbo? Regards, frank
  11. Hi, Put my winter tyres under my cayenne today. Unfortunately they do not have TMPS sensors, so now I keep on getting the error message. Is there a way toturn this off? regards, frank
  12. Thanks a lot Paul, I removed all the screws. nonetheless, I could not remove the panel. Feels like I am missing a screw. There is play on top of the panel, but no movement at the bottom of the panel. I am afraid to ruin the panel. Any advice? regards, frank
  13. Found out today the the bottom of both my doorpanels is wet. I did wash the car last week, but that does not make sense. Dealer said that probably the seal inside the door leaks and that the rain water comes through my doors. Does this sound familiar to anybody? regards, frank 997 2s
  14. Hi, Does somebody have a picture or a link of the removal of the front door panels? My doorpanels are wet at the bottom. Therefore I would like to check what is going on. Regards, frank
  15. I did not check the motormounts. The car was fine and all of a sudden, after the service, including MAF cleaning, the problem occured. Obviously I went back to the dealer. They told me that the vibrations were normal. But again, this was not there in the past. Therefore I suspected the MAF sensor. Anyway to on the motormounts? Regards, frank
  16. The service was the one meant after 4 year (plugs, big service etc). Was wrong about the RPM's: more 650! Noticed some shahing under desceleration as well. Car shakes very light. No strange sounds. The mystery continues. Regards, frank
  17. Hi, Just picked up my c2s (2005, 997) from the dealer after (a very expensive) big 25.0000 miles service. Everything is ok, except for one thing. When I stop the car (leave the engine running), the car suddenly vibrates quite heavily (when in gear, tiptronic). When I use the throttle is goes away. This was not there in the past. I took a look at the bill and saw that they cleaned the gas throttle house and 'reprogrammed' it. Could this be the cause? I went by the dealer yesterday and they said that the vibrations are completely normal. Fine, but they were not there before and besides that, I find them rather annoying. Any ideas? Regards, frank
  18. After a lot of discussion (they said that it was normal, where I asked for a comparison) they are going to replace the PDCC. Let's wait and see. frank
  19. Is it possible that there are fault codes stored without having the check engine light turned on? Frank
  20. Ok, thanks for the advise! I will drive by the dealer and have them check out the car! Keep you posted! Frank
  21. I noticed something strange about my wifes cayenne TT (08 with PDCC) this weekend. When driving slow and the using the throttle, it feels like the car is shaking when it tries to accelerate. Feels a bit like it is driving in a too high gear. When I give more throttle the problem disappears. Do not want to go to the dealer without more facts on this issue, otherwise they will send me home again witout help! Any ideas? Frank
  22. fixed! Dealer replaced the sensors near the gear lever. There were producing errors, so the car did not know precisely what the selected gear was. Warranty. Frank
  23. Yes, the car is still under warranty. I had it today again! Same experience. Will drive by the dealer this week. Just wanted to be prepared for the "we don't see anything wrong with your car" remark. So any thoughts? Regards, frank
