Hi, Experienced something strange today with my wives TT '08. Noticed that all the gear lights were burning on my display (1,2,3,4,5, D, N, R), all at the same time. My tiptronic did not react at this time. Restarting the car 'fixed'it. I remember reading a post about this iin the past, but I can't find it anymore. Any ideas on what causing this? Regards, frank

Called the representative of the importing company and he confirmed that it is a warranty thing. Het caller my dealer and this guy called me back claiming that he had 'old software' on het desktop. This software claimed that this was not a warranty thing. The new software shows this as a warranty item. Lot's of b.s. about bumper to bumper warranty. At least they covered it! Frank.

That's my thought as well! Dealer told me otherwise! I have have the full extended warranty! they told me that this wasn't covered by insurance. Not quite sure what to do now? Frank

I have a constant bit of water in my turn signals in the front of my 2 year old turbo. Went by the dealer and they said that they are going to replace the turn signals (in the grill). Quite surprised that they do not fix this under warranty! Would replacement fix this issue? They are not broken in any way, so I guess that replacing them would not make a huge difference? And obviously...... they don't have a clue! The TV tuner is an option which is not deliverable in the Netherlands (the car is a German one, which I imported). They have not done this before and therefore they have no clue how long it will take (>1.5 hours)! Anyway to get hold of the PIWIS manual so I can tell them what they should do? Frank

Ok, is there a way to find out what they need to do? A manual for this? Do I need a piwis for this, or can I use an alternative instrument? Regards, frank

Hi, I need to 'activate' de AV input on my tv tuner (cayenne 2008). I went by the dealer today and they said that it will take 1.5 hours of labor. Personally I find this rather much. Just hook on the PIWIS , turn the switch and done. Does anybody perhaps have experience with this? or know an alternative way? The tv tuner is working and the reverse camera as well. Besides this there are 2 more inputs on the tv tuner and these need to be activated. Any clues? Regards, frank

Hi, Just wondering whether somebody knows the specs of the porsche tv tuner? I am wondering whether the turner has an input channel to add an external DVD signal (I have a rear view camera installed as well). The car is a 2008 TT. Regards, Frank

Hi, Drove by the dealer today and they said that it was a normal noice. It is the PDCC pump that is 'building pressure". They told me that all the PDCC cayennes make this noice. Fluid levels were fine as well Still slightly surprised, but on the other hand....happy that the car is not broken. Thanks for all the help. Frank

Hi, I know that it is not legal in Europe (while driving). I only would like to use it when the car is not moving. It is much easier that stepping out of the car, that the reason. Regards, frank.

Hi Loren, Thanks for the quick response. Any clue whether it is ease to link the tuner to the porsche rear entertainment system? I would like to see the DVD on my PCM system as well, because otherwise I need to step out of the car and open the rear door, when I want to start the DVD for my children. Thanks, frank

Hi RFM, Thanks for the reply. I will try to check the fluid levels. Car was just serviced, so I would be surprised if this is the case. But you'll never know. Just checking: the sound/feeling also occurs when the car is in neutral with a bit of throttle and no steering action? Regards, frank

Yes, Just to make sure: It happens also when I put the gearbox in Neutral and give a little bit of throttle. Frank

Hi, Thanks for the response. Don't want to sound too unthankful, but I am talking about 800-1300 rpm's. In this area my turbo gauge is not moving at all, so my guess is that it is not the turbo? Frank That is the sweet sound of the TURBO. As you hear that hum, you should see the boost gauge move higher. I love that humming!!

Hi, Just picked up my wifes 'new'(10.000 miles 2008 turbo) cayenne and I noticed something strange. When using the throttle very lightly (between 800 and 1300 rpm) there comes a strange 'humming'sound from the front of the car. When the rpm go down it disappears. The dealer told me that this is normal. But my old turbo (2003) does not make this noice. Does this sound familiar? Perhaps the turbo's? Thanks, Frank
