Thanks for the replies, I think that the noice is coming from the fan, because if I turn the fan off the noice disappears. A 3 day job to replace the fan? This sounds like a challenge! Could somebody help me to find the fan (diagram, link or procedure)? Thanks a lot, Frank

Hi All, When I turn on the ventilation/airco in my 2003 TT I sometimes hear a buzzing noice. It is not allways there, as soon as I turn it off, the sound is gone, when I turn on the blower (speed is not important) the buzzing noice starts again. I think that I have to clean the fan, but i have no idea where it is located? Could somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks, frank

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I do mean the strip on item nr3. If it is not for sale seperately I have to find it somewhere. Don't really fancy paying lots of $$ for one strip. Are you sure it is screwed? thought it was just push on? Thanks, frank

Hi All, Just noticed that I have 'lost' the colored strip on the door handle. This is the strip in the middle of the handle which is colored in the exterior color. Does anybody know whether this is for sale seperately or do i need to order a complete new strip? Thanks, frank

Hi All, I have just returned from a 1500 miles drive (skitrip) and my cayenne (2003 turbo) has introduced a new habbit. There is a squeeky (piep...piep) noice coming from the engine area. It is not very loud and it looks like it disappears when I give gas. I want to check my V belt (the belt theat drives the generator ??). Two question: Where is the generator located and how do I reach it? Is there a way to add some tension to the belt or do I need to replace it? Thanks again, Frank.

Hi, I need to replace my springs/cylinders of the boot lit (rear door). Could somebody supply me with the schematics (how and where to open the interior etc). If somebody can help me, please let me know. thanks, frank

Hi, I used the driver side fuse box. The first 2 coloms are switched (means first from the drivers position, not from the hood position). Do not exactly know the number I used, but if needed I can look it up. Frank.

4x4 fault message

Trevor, I think that you need a new battery. My cayenne did the same (mentioning 4x4 problems, but everything worked ok). When the battery got changed, it was all fixed. Good luck, frank -

Hi all, My left outside mirror (2003 cayenne TT) is acting a bit strange lately. My memory seems not to be able to remenber the setting (only for this mirror). It works after reprogramming but the next day the setting is gone. When opening the door (entry and drive) the mirror goes completely down (like passenger mirror reverse mode). Not everytime though, especially when the car sat for some time. It also makes a lot of noice. When I took the car to the garage, they hit the wall with the mirror ( replacement cap coming soon). Could this have caused the problem, or do I need to check something else? Thanks, frank.

Hi All, As the title explains already, I have not been able to find my switched 12V in the cayenne tt (2003). The car is packed with all nice electronic gadgets, but I am not able to find 12V which goes parralel with the ignition (on=on, off=off). Perhaps I am doing something wrong. I have measured nearly all fuses. Earth (+) is coming directly from the battery and the power (-) is being measured from every fuse. Could it perhaps be that all the fuses are 'hot' and that the earth (+) is swithed with the ignition?? Does somebody perhaps have an idea which wire beneath the driver seat (spagetty next to the battery) is switched 12V? Thanks, Frank

Hi, Thanks or the reply. Just to make sure slot 47 only gives power when the ignition is on?? I measured nearly all fuses and started to think that all the fuses where non switched. for instance the sunroof fuse. The sunroof fuse give 12V full time, but the roof only functions with the ignition on. I will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks, fank -

Hi, I have a simular problem. Also looking for switched 12V (on when ignition is on). Where did you succeed in the fuse box? I tried a lot of the fuses, but then all seem to be unswitched. Thanks, frank -
I start to feel a bit like a ...... Tried again today, but I still have not find 12V which is only on when the ignition is on. The fuse (24 and 42) are hot full time (ignition on or off), when I measured them today. So again.... does anybody know where I can find 12V which is only hot with the ignition on? Perhaps a wire under the driver seat? Or am I doing something wrong?? Thanks, Frank

Hi, Thanks for the reply. Tried today for 3 hours without result (bose in the back, phone connection, sigaret lighter etc). Is it 42 OR 24 or can both be used?? Can I just put in the wires together with the fuse or do I have to check something else? Thanks, frank

Hi, To activate a relais, I need to have some small switched 12v somewhere (cayenne 2003 TT). I was thinking of using the rear sigaret lighter. Does anybody know whether this one is switched? Does anybody perhaps know which wires to take? Any other suggestions are welcome as well. Thanks a lot for the help. Frank.

Not suite sure whether it is called an amp and not a speaker. Just to make sure: I meant the round thing with bose written on it located where normally spare wheels are located.

Hi, I feel a bit like a dummy. I wanted to take out the bose amp in the trunk (to check whether there is a battery or not!?!). I removed all the 'screws' but no movement. Could somebody please tell me what I did wrong (have been trying for over an hour!!)? Thanks, frank

Hi All, Because my cayenne TT 2003 did not have very nice looking steering wheel button, I have decided to replace the airbag. There is a nice airbag waiting for me to come home to and this looks like a nice 'project' for the spare hours this weekend. Important question would be, which battery should I disconnect before I start working on the airbag?? If it would be 'wheel of fortune' I would go for the battery under the driver's seat. Because this is more risky than wheel of fortune, I would like to know for sure. Thanks and have a good weekend. Frank.
