  1. Hi,

My cayenne tt '03 has developed a new habit. Usin the remote will on occasion (not allways) open just 2 or 3 doors. If I touch the doorhandle then it opens (entry and drive system is on my car). Using the ''open all'' button in my driver door opens all the doors as well.

Therefore it will not be one of the door engines. Because it does not happen everytime I am wonderin whether replrogramming of somethin will do the trick? Any advise? Can I reprogram myself as well?

    Thanks, frank

  2. Hi,

My little girl left one of her toys on my 997 cab. I was not aware, today I opened the roof. The toy got stuck and prefented the roof cover to close correctly (the cover near the engine hood that covers the hood when the top is down).

I now need the adjust the closing of my top cover (there is one seam on the side which is now too wide). I noticed two bolts underneath the top on each side which give a bit of adjustablilty. Just wondering whether there are more possiblilties to adjust the topcover?

    Thanks, frank

  3. FIXED!!

Quite easy, just took out the instrument cluster (15 minute job, very easy). Then removed the back from the cluster (white part). There is a small speaker attached to the white rear. Mine was broken. Just bought a replacement speaker at some elektro shop (3$). Put it in and it works great. All the sounds are back and even more clear than ever before. Took me a total of less then 50 minutes, and..... much cheaper than replacing the cluster.

    Frank.

  4. The story continues:

My indicator workt fine, but the sound is 'gone'. I do hear a very soft klik-klik but this could be the relais as well. If I open my door with the light on, the warning sound works, but it sounds like a badly tuned radio station (cracky noice). Same goes for my seatbelt warning sound and the passenger airbag off sound. It works but thesound is like a broken speaker. I want to check the wiring and check the speaker for dust, but where is it located?

If it is in the instument cluster, how can I remove this?

    Thanks for the help,

    Frank

  5. Hi,

I allways experience a strange thing with my wifes cayenne TT (2003). When I drive the car I allways start slowly, as soon as the engine is warm and the road is clear I push the throttle completely down. What happens then is that the car shifts down 2 gears (depending on the speed) and then starts accelerating.

This acceleration goes in a strange way. It feels like it starts to accelerate and then adds on more power every second. Feels like the power is added in 4 or 5 steps. As soon as I have done this a couple of times it feels like the engine and gearbox are awake. This means that the next time I push the throttle down it gives me full power instantly.

After driving normal/slowly for a while, the procedure starts all over again. Is this a programming issue? If so, can it be changed. If not, what could the cause be then (coils?) ? There are no lights burning, engine sound good.

    Any comments/ideas?

    Thanks, frank

  6. Hi,

I am about to do the TSB 6629 (passenger airbag installation) a I was wondering two things:

    1. Is it possible to install the switch without installing the warning light (PAO) in the center console (I don't like it and the display also shows a warning)? Or does this lead to an error message?

    2. I have studied the TSB for a long time but I can't figure out where the airbag plug comes out of? Is it allready fitted in the car and ready for a plug in? If not, what happend with the plug that was initially in (TSB mentions nothing about this airbag plug B besides plug in the 'new plug').

If I am correct with my assumptions than I could remove the glove box, plug it in and PIWIS it and done? (offcourse starting with taking of the - pole of the battery) :-)

I know this is quite detailed but help is appreciated.

    Thanks, frank

  7. Hi I would like to do the TSB airbag deactivation on the passenger side. I have ordered the module at carnewall. I know the dealer has to do the programming part, but the installation looks like fun to me.

In order to not ruin everything I would need some more information on how to remove part of my dashboard.

Could somebody please help me on:

Removing and installing the glove department (681519)

Removing and installing the center console (681719)

Removing and installing the cup holder (683019)

Removing and installing the right dashboard cover (701619)

Removing and installing the cover under the instrument panel on the passenger side (701919)

Removing and installing the cold air cover (702219)

    Thanks a lot.

    Frank
