  1. Hi,

    Can anyone offer some advice?:

I've just purchased some Litronic headlights to retrofit to my '98 996 - After some initial trouble with the light spanner (it seems slightly too big..) I managed to get the lights out.

On putting the Litronics back in, I've only been able to get the 'side-lights' working.

I've noticed from other postings that this can be a problem with the connectors within the car. Can anyone recommend any kind of cleaner to clean the connectors?

    Thanks,

    Alan.

  2. Hi,

I've just purchased a '98 996 and have a problem with the PCM1 unit. The unit is registering 0 satelites on reception - so,

I removed the PCM1 unit from the dash and have found two cables the cables on the back - 4 blocks plug into the unit and the FM & GPS lead.

The back of the unit has a place for the FM aerial lead but no where to plug the GPS - Is this my problem???!! or is this just a red-hearing i.e. is the gps signal connected via one of the alternative connection blocks.

    Does anyone have any ideas???

    Many thanks!
