  1. Hello Dear Community Members!

Please have a look on these two Navigation-DVD's for Europe:

    162d578f00f5.jpgef1c01b72531.jpg

The former has been supplied with my car and the latter is the part of "997 044 901 50" Porsche Multipack 08/2007 EU PCM 2.1 (911, Boxter, Cayman) update kit. The total binary comparsion of these two DVD's, recently done by me, showed that they are absolutely 100% identical !!!.

Conclusion: by the time of this post the latest date of Navigation-DVD Europe is 05.2007.

Warning: Dear Users of Navigation-DVD Europe 05.2007, don't spend your money to buy "997 044 901 50" Porsche Multipack 08/2007 EU PCM 2.1 (911, Boxter, Cayman) update kit in order to make an update of your current navigation map. The update kit does not contain any new map and POIs although it's dated 08.2007...

    Hi all,

Recently I brought from the USA my Cayenne S and I would like to use the NAVTEQ Europe DVDs.

Will they work with my DVD player or do I have to buy an adaptor?

    Thank you,

    Dnenes

  2. Loren-

please excuse my ignorance but what is a TT program??

I hate to say this but what may need to be done is to put the cluster in a TT program the options like you want - then put it in your car.

When we put a Carrera cluster in a Boxster we have to program the Boxster as a Carrera - make all the option changes then program back to Boxster. When i have done this it usually takes about 1 hour do the conversion.

    Hi Mark,

Can you please explain what is the "Bar" indication of the turbo cluster showing now?

    Thanks

  3. DONE...well almost...I followed the instructions I found here and the swap worked PERFECT. Old cluster approx 34k miles new 22K and I found a shop to recalibrate the odometer on the new cluster for $250. I am getting the air suspension error message which I expected because my S does NOT have air suspension and the turbo cluster is naturally programmed for air suspension and possibly tire pressure sensors. I am going to dealer in AM for reprogram hopefully while I wait and not too much $$$

THANKS ALL! will post pix this week.....

Congrats! This is going to be my next upgrade. On the right sideof the Turbo cluster there is a "bar" gauge. Can you please tell me what is that indicating on the Cayenne S?

Is it non functional because the Cayenne S has an atmospheric engine?

    Thanks

  4. that wheel is pretty sick, which one is it and where'd you pick it up? Mine is getting pretty worn and I'm looking for a new one

Yeah I love it. Great feeling - nothing like the standard. I bought it from my dealer, and installed it my self.

Make sure you disconnect the battery. Otherwise you will have to take it to the dealer to reset the airbag light.

Is there wheel swap procedures posted anywhere? I have a wood wheel on the way and am tempted to do it myself. My logic - if I trip the airback light and buy my own durametric to resent it, it will still

be cheaper and less hassle then the dealer. They are already giving me guff over not buying the wheel from them. I swear the cheaper the car the more easy going the dealers are.

There are instructions in this forum. Look it up. Easy to do. Just make sure you disconnect the battery before you do so.

  5. Thanks for the info!!!

I swapped the wheel today and I have to admit that the thicker wheel is awesome!!!

I only have a small issue with my airbag now - the airbag light stays on in the cluster.

Whel I removed the airbag I did not disconnect the battery, so I am thinking maybe that is the problem.

I am thinking that if I disconnect the battery now, maybe I will reset this fault. What do you think?

PS1: I am pretty sure that I connected the airbag correctly as I checked the connections twice.

PS2: How do I disconnect the battery? I have been looking in this forum, but I can't find clear directions.

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

  6. Hi all,

I just bought the thicker steering wheel for my 2008 Cayenne S. I would like to ask you guys what tools do I need to replace existing wheel.

My understanding is that I need to:

    1) Remove the airback - For that I need to disconnect the battery.

    2) Remove the bolt that hold down the wheel. For this I need a special wrench but I have no idea which one. Can you please advise which one and where to find it?

    Thank you.

  7. Hi all,

I am thinking of doing the following mods:

Fabspeed Cayenne Maxflo Cat Back Exhaust $2195

Fabspeed Secondary Cat Delete Pipes $680

    BMC Air Filters (2) $180

PES Porsche Cayenne S 4.8L Software Upgrade $1995

Installation Labor (Welding Required For Exhaust Install) $750

Shipping (exhaust, filters, ECU overnight x2) $100

    Build Total w/Tax $6,254.00

The shop that will do the work has advised that I will be gaining around 65HP.

Is there anything I should be aware before going for these changes?

I have a 2008 Cayenne S with 385 HP default so the extra 65HP + the significant noise modification should be pretty good.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
