  1. I had this same problem in my '01 S, not sure if it's exactly the same light or not though. The light on my car was part of a whole assembly that had to come out, if I pushed on the black trim ring around the actual LED light it would come on for a short while, then go off. I finally pulled the whole light assembly, black LED surround plus the clear plastic dome light, out of the black housing with the motion sensors and top latch, plastic prying tool worked (small flat head screwdriver would too just be careful not to scratch anything). It was just wedged in there with a minor attachment on one side and got the part number. I think Pelican was the only place that had one. It was more expensive than I was hoping for ($40ish) but I replaced that whole light assembly and it has worked fine ever since. Relatively easy to do, but just a pain to have to spend that for a single light. You might find one through a salvage yard for cheaper. Or can maybe rewire with a new LED if you're so inclined.
  2. I replaced the Becker unit in my '01 Boxster S a year or so ago and I used a harness I ordered from Crutchfield that was for an Audi and worked perfectly. I forget exactly where I found the link to that particular harness. I did have to switch a few of the pins in the harness to get my rear speakers to work IIRC, but that was an add-on for the Boxster anyway. Your '99 C4 should be identical to my Box. If I can find the link to the harness I'll post it. Try searching the archives at PPBB.com I might have gotten it there.
  3. Look where He's from. We'll just chalk it up to natuaral selection. Easy there, not all of us who live where he does refuel with the car running.
