  1. Cassie, Thank you! It's too late for the engine failure though!! Compression on cyl. 1-3 was 105lbs./cuin. 4-6 ranged from 55-115lbs./cuin.. Cyl. 5 and 6 were 65 and 55 respectively. As of today... The 4-6 head is off and almost ready to go back on. Everything looks great except for a chewed up cam bearing. Since the cam bearings are line bored into the head (no removable bearing) I'm at a loss on how to have it repaired??? Thank you for the help,
  2. Does anyone have a clue what a puddle of oil would be doing in my intake manifold? Is it possible that the oil/air seperator could have caused this, it's never been changed in 160K miles of driving? Thank you!
  3. It's true you should NOT use Fix-A-Flat but as a last resort it's nice to have. Besides I can't seem to get more than 15K miles out of a set of tires so it doesn't matter much.
  4. My car has gone coast to coast and all over the western states and all I carry is: A couple of rags (I always look to see what the problem is before calling the tow truck.) Cell Phone GPS Portable DVD Player (This is for the long tow truck wait.) Factory Tool Kit (Helpful for properly loading the car on the truck.) Tire Pump Fix-A-Flat Realisticly, there are few problems that can be dealt with while on the road. I had a water pump go out on start of a 6000 mile trip and there was nothing I could do but tow it. I did use the factory wrench one time to adjust a wiper arm. If you maintain your car well, then trust it and have a good time! RallyBoxster www.myspace.com/rallyboxster
  5. I'm pretty sure my engine is shot. Just in case I'm planning on doing a compression test but given how it went out I do belive it is the head gasket. If anyone has any helpful hints on keeping the cams in alignment/adjustment that would be great! The shop foreman and service advisor mentioned that that would likely be my biggest problem. Are there any other big hurdels I should know about, such as special tools that only Porsche sells for way to much $$$$ ? Thanks in advance,
