  2. Loren: I just took my 01 Boxster, tiptronic in for the annual Mass inspection. It failed showing the following codes: P1130.P1128,P1126 and P1133.Can you tell me waht they are and how to clear them? Thanks zlawman
  3. I am the owner of a 2001 Boxster tiptronic. Lately , with top up or down, I get a smell/stink of something that is akin to burnt coffee. The temp dash light neither goes on to flash or steady. The transmission shifts ok.There are no fault codes or engine lights. Any suggestions?
  4. Thanks once again Loren Zlawman
  5. I am the owner of a 2001 tip boxster 38000 miles and am having locking problems. I went to a local indie who found two codes 61 and 47. One is a communication problem but he couldn't find the description of the other. Which is which, I do not remember. In any event, I was getting the double beep sporadically. The gas lid needed to be unlocked using the key in the door and the passenger door had to be released from the inside. He cleared the codes and we are now looking for further guidance in fixing the issue. When I picked the car up and locked it, double beep came on with the unlocking. We or he thinks the alarm module may be defective. What do you think? :renntech: :renntech:
  6. I am the owner of a 2001 base boxster with tip;color seal grey,36000 miles and was looking good. This am while backing out of the garage, I hit the side of the garage with the passenger side mirror. The mirror cracked and the housing popped open on the bottom. I was able to snap it together without glass breaking or injuring the housing. Now the question. Can I purchase only the mirror itself, if so what is the part number and I further assume I can get it from Sunset. Thank you, zlawman :renntech:
  7. zlawman,2001 tip seal grey Boxster. About 2 months ago I thought that for safety sake I would have the auto door lock activated. Since then, it double honks on both opening and closing either door. The panel light stays on after opening and honking. It makes it harder to shut the passenger door as it half locks when a person gets in and closes the the door; the door remains partially unclosed. It takes a real effort to close the door, I can take it to the local dealer, but would like to avoid the rip off charge. Do you have any suggestions; perhaps there is someone in the Newton Ma or Boston area with the machine for deleting this locking issue
  8. Thank You I'm going out to try it with my 5 thumbs.
  9. I believe so. The whole unit is oem and must be Bose
  10. zlawman;2001 tip; seal grey;36000 miles; How do you remove the rear speaker box, or alternatively replace the grill in front of the rear speakers?
  11. zlawman asks: Is there a central location to get a new tag--maybe using the vin#?
