Membrane in the exhaust?
Can you be more specific or do you have pictures?
this is the membrane that opens and closes the exhaust when is in sports or regular mode, is a small canister that is in each of the corners of the exhaust of the gt3, inside is a membrane that acts when the switch is depressed
-
It seems I hit something on the road and damaged the membrane that opens and closes the exhaust on the 997 gt3, I've been told that it's very expensive and non reparaible.........does anybody know anythng about this????
thanks for the help

IS DONE!!! bought some aluminum grille, took the front part off, put the grille around the air ducts, fixed the nose again and is done!!!!!
-
why would you want to do that??....I think the gains by doing something like that does not make it worthwhile.........and it would just kill your resale value........
-
I'll try to make mine will let you know how it turns out!!!

The DIY Loren refers to is for 996 GT3 intake screens...... Since you posted in the 997 GT3 forum, I'll assume you have a 997 GT3. Note that there will be differences in the 997 bumper and screens. If you DO have a 996 GT3, let me know. I can provide additional help AND have screens available.
Thanks everybody for your comments and help, I do own a 997......will let you know how it goes.........

the gt3 has a sport button in the console where you activate the vacuum system it has two valves in each side of the exhaust, this canister is what I damaged and now they want 1200 dlrs for an entire system 'cause they don't sell the canister.........unbelievable!!!!!!
