  1. the gt3 has a sport button in the console where you activate the vacuum system it has two valves in each side of the exhaust, this canister is what I damaged and now they want 1200 dlrs for an entire system 'cause they don't sell the canister.........unbelievable!!!!!!
  2. this is the membrane that opens and closes the exhaust when is in sports or regular mode, is a small canister that is in each of the corners of the exhaust of the gt3, inside is a membrane that acts when the switch is depressed
  3. It seems I hit something on the road and damaged the membrane that opens and closes the exhaust on the 997 gt3, I've been told that it's very expensive and non reparaible.........does anybody know anythng about this???? thanks for the help maximus136
  4. they're your run of the mill off the shelf screens............made in china go figure.........
  5. some pics....for those interesed......just have to cut that screen a little bit closer to the edge, bend it and fit it into the channel where the funnel fits and you done.......the center one you can close really close and secure it with pop rivets......
  6. IS DONE!!! bought some aluminum grille, took the front part off, put the grille around the air ducts, fixed the nose again and is done!!!!!
  7. why would you want to do that??....I think the gains by doing something like that does not make it worthwhile.........and it would just kill your resale value........
  8. I'll try to make mine will let you know how it turns out!!!
  9. Thanks everybody for your comments and help, I do own a 997......will let you know how it goes.........
  10. Gents: I bought a GT3 about a month ago and am looking for screens to protect the radiators against flying stones etc etc. where do I get them?? thanks for your help. maximus136
