  1. I have a 2003 Boxster and today was the first time I have tried to put the top in service mode. I noticed my cables where cut or sheared near the top of the cable when I went to disconnect the socket ends. Is this normal? I am starting to do my own service and I noticed this.... is this something the dealer does? Cut the cables? I was able to replace my air filter without having to disconnect since it was not attached....is this something I should replace? Other than that question the air filter was pretty straight forward and easy. thanks john
