When opening the car door, I notice a clicking sound coming from the middle dash area. Could be coming from the in-dash cd player. It last from 2-4 seconds before stopping. Any ideas? Miczav

Good idea! Clicking happens when there is no cd in the player. If there is a cd inserted, the cd player will not play until it is ejected. When it is ejected, the clicking happens for a few seconds. When cd is re-inserted, the cd plays. I'm thinking the cd player is defective. Thanks for the help.

I have an '04 Carrera C4s. Recently replaced battery. When I open door, there is a rapid clicking sound coming from the dash, behind the radio/heater?? So far, it stops after a few seconds or when I put key in and start car. Because it doesn't happen each time I open the door, I couldn't duplicate the problem at dealer.. Help? Thanks.
