  7. hi there was wondering if anyone can shine a light here i have a 2000 c4 coupe wen i bought it had yellow upgraded bilstien shocks on the rear.... are they gas ? do they need regassing? can it be done? recently i have heard a knocking from the rear right hand side when going over bumps in the road i think the damping may have gone or could it be bushes ? i have no idea when i push down on the rear end there seams to be still some damping on the rebound. it has been -10 c temp this week with snow and ice - could this be the cause of the problem? thanks for all the help in advance guys :renntech: :renntech: :renntech:
  8. is my amp built into the headunit then or is it else where do i just chage the head unit or the amp or both ?
  9. cheers loren reason i ask is because i have changed all the speakers in the car to alpine speakers and have taken out the tuned ports in the doors and have done the MDF-DYNAMAT baffles mod for the doors with 16cm alpines aswell and to be honest it sounds worse than it did before!!!! i cant turn the base up past -1 or it all distorts and sounds like something you would find in an old van! i am thinking that the next step is to change the amp to get a better sound what do you recon ?

  12. oh also you sound as though you would know how do you set it so the doors automaticly lock wen you set off driving?
  13. Nope...you can rig it to sound, but that just means one of the sensors is tripped...some folks will open the center console to do this. that will make a horn type sound wont it? and will it do it when the car is opened? also if it is left open for some time will it not set the alarm off?
  14. have you checked the coils / plugs?
  15. hi just wondering if anyone knows how or if it is possible or not to make 996 standard alarm bleep when it is locked or unlocked. i love that touch :renntech:
  16. make sure you are have taken the right plug out as there are two and can be easily mistaken the one you need is the thick one that stands out. failing that you will need to remove your wheel and wheel arch liner and manually relese the light ok so if i remove the wheel and liner how do i get the light out just push it forward? or...???????????????? no there is a bracket that needs relesing 1st try to do it with pliers or a screwdriver if you take your other headlight out you will be able to get an idea of what you are dealing with and best way to relese it
