  1. Thanks guys, you answered all my questions. I'm going to the dealer next week and might just book an appointment. I did look into the price before hand... its just under $500 at Pfaff Porsche in Toronto.
  2. Boxsters are much cheaper in the US than in Europe (and Canada). It might be cheaper for you to sell your boxster there, buy one in the US and do another engine swap.
  3. I've been considering getting a clear bra for my seal grey 2005 987S. I was wondering how the bra handles stones and debris. Do they get embedded into the film? Does the film itself become pitted? Also, could you remove it without damaging the paint? For those who have it, are you happy with the investment? any regrets?
  4. I too just bought a 2005 Boxster S, and I also noticed that same smell. I thought I was just driving the car harder than it felt like. I figured the tires still feel the full effect of the turn even if the sport suspension and mid engine make the driver feel the turns less. I could be wrong on this. Its just my best guess as to why that smell is there.
  5. Thanks guys, its probably just a little stiff.
  6. I just bought a 2005 Boxster S. Could someone please tell me the proper way to put this car into reverse. I've been slamming the shifter all the way left and then up, and did find the reverse, though it felt a little weird. I felt the shifter "jump" over a point between the 1st position and the Reverse position as I was shifting. It felt as though I plowed through some sort of mechanical interlock. In other cars, I've had to lift up, push down, or pull a trigger on the shifter to get it into reverse. Please advise me if I'm doing it right. Thank you in advance.
  7. I want to replace my stock Stereo system with a 2-din aftermarket touch screen nav stereo system. My buddy did this in his 350Z and it looks great! I would like to know where I can find a 2-din mount and a wire harnesses. Does the dealer sell these? Does the mount look descent or plasticy? Also, are there any adverse affects to the cars other displays since the original stereo is tied in with them? P.S. I can't beleive there wasn't already a topic on this subject.
