  1. Just looking for some info. Have recently purchased a 2000 911 carrera 2, and it is fantatsic! The gear box doesnt seem as smooth as it should do though. I have read on this forum of the change from 1st to second being a little notchy when cold, mine is. It does improve when heated up, but still feels rather notchy. This doesnt prove too much of a problem with spirirted driving and aggresive changes, but feels like a lot of hard work in traffic. I had read about there being an adjustment on the gear linkage under the centre console. How does this work? I was also thinking of installing a short shift kit as well, so could do this while I had the linkage apart. Is adjusting this a reasonably easy D.I.Y job, or is it best left to the dealer?
