  1. Tagger, I was recently in the same position that you are, though the car I purchased was one year older and had about 30K additional miles. I decided to do a more comprehensive service, including changing the plugs. If not already done, I would change the oil/filter, particularly if the car had been sitting for a while. In addition, I would change the pollen filter, as dust may have accumulated in the car over time, which the filter is now catching since the air circ system is being used. I agree with changing the serpentine belt at this time. I had my front and rear tranny fluid changed at the same time. Cost of fluids was $60 and approx two hours of labor. I never feel comfortable driving a car that may have been sitting for a while without changing the important lubricants. I'd rather spend $230 in preventive maintenance than $12-15K on a new tranny. Just my 2 cents, I hope it helps.
  2. Who says that you can't find what you need in a forum. I had encountered the same problem as JSmith996TT. I sent my repair shop a link to this forum listing and the problem was fixed by replacing the pressure accumulator just as Loren had said. Thanks from me too, Loren.
