OK, I've filtered all the info and have a final few questions... 1. For the recoding, does it matter in which order you do the 2 recodes (OBC then Cluster, or vice versa, or does it not matter) 2. Secondly, there's a couple of mentions of "order type" when recoding...will I need to know this? 3. I plan to do the recoding at the OPC, as they are keen to see how this works! (...'cos they've not done a 996 of course), so can I get the recoding done BEFORE installing the cruise stalk and wiring? (I ask as I'll be going to the OPC next week and won't have fited the stalk by then)

Thanks Richard! I'll filter out all the relevant info and take it from there... After initially wanting to get the job done before our trip to Switzerland, now that we're back there's plenty of other (non-GT3) priorities, so the job has been on hold...but I'm keen to get it done, so hopefully in the next couple of weeks :-)

Having read this thread extensively... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...=cruise+control I now have the required parts to add cruise to my (UK, RHD) 2004 GT3. Beforr I start the job, could someone please (Loren?) post the wiring diagram/changes that are required for me to install the 4-stalk column (currently have 3-stalk). Also, as the Porscxhe Centre have already failed to enable the cruise (the car was having other work done, they seemed to want to do it and didn't charge me)...some guidance as to the system changes/menus to help achieve the re-programming would be very helpful! Thanks Rob
