  1. I've got a question related to this topic: I have a '99 C2, and the lights on the interior section of the front headlight assembly right above the turn signal (smallish square lights) don't appear to work. The headlights and highbeams otherwise work fine, but I was wondering what the function of these lights was, as there is a bulb in there. Are these the litronics...?

    Thanks

    David

  2. Jeff,

I completed the OBC hack last night, I was finally able to remove the oval sleeve around the hazard switch. Thing is, when you're not sure, you hate to pull on anything too hard, for fear of breaking something.

Anyways, the rest of the instructions were pretty clear, and the switch seems to work pretty well. Now i just need to replace the hazard switch I broke the other day. It's on order ;)

Thanks again for your help and patience. Next project will be the B&M shifter I think :)

  3. Thanks Jeff.

I am actually doing the OBC hack with a switch, not the stalk. The stalk installation sounded too difficult. I am probably right, given that I haven't been able to remove the oval trim yet ;)

So I will try again using your advice. Also, I noticed this morning that my one-touch window up/down doesn't work anymore, and I remember reading something about having to reset that sometimes if the battery has been disconnected. Can you remember how this is done.

Thanks again, and sorry to keep bothering you.

  4. Thanks Jeff. Yes, it's a tight fit, I ended up breaking the switch trying to pry it out without taking out the oval trim piece, so now the hazard button stays depressed...

So am I to try and remove the oval trim piece before or after removing the switch? How do you unclamp the two metal clips you were talking about? Should I try using a small screwdriver from the outside?

You said that some of the info in the DIY is old. Is the connection info still valid?

    Thanks a lot Jeff.

    David
