  1. Avery, First of all sorry for not posting this before. I got the issue solved. In my case was an O ring that goes around a plastic tube in the spark plug canal. I was told by the technician that it is a common problem in week end cars since it looses the constant lubrication required and dries out causing leaks. Again that was in my case and it can be confused with a valve cover gasket problem because the oil runs from the spark plug canal down to the gasket joint. It was an easy fix. 2 hour labor. Ricardo.
  2. The RMS is located between the engine and the transmission (around the drive shaft) So it is basically right in the middle of the car. it is easy to see, just jack your car and see (touch) if the oil come from the "crack" between the engine and transmission). If it is really on the side, it might be the variocam seal or valve cover seal (there is a thread in this board about someone that did the valve cover "resealing" himself Frenchy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Frenchy, Thanks for your reply. I'll go check it today. Ricardo.
  3. Hi, For the first time I notice oil on the floor. I took the car for a spin yesterday, some hard acceleration here and there, nothing serious. I got home and let the car rest for like 3 hours and an inch diameter oil drop on the floor. I almost fainted. Mine is 2000 C4 with 10K miles. The leak came from the left side of the engine. Any one knows if I'm facing the RMS nightmare? Thanks! Ricardo.
  4. Thanks for the support guys. If this happens to me again with the Halogen I'm selling the car. I love it but I was paranoid before and now even more. Ricardo.
  5. Thanks Tool. Do you know where to get a good deal on the halogen? I'll get back the Litronics from the insurance but will replace them with Halogen to avoid this problem in the near future and keep the Lit. for when I sell the car. Ricardo.
  6. Thanks Loren. Can I install conventional Headlights using same wiring and brackets? Thanks!
  7. So, here I'm, still recovering from the shock of seen my 2000 C4 blinded. After owning it for a month I got hitted, in my own building parking garage. They took em both. Local dealer gets 5 per day like mine. I'll have my insurance replace the Litronics but I already made a decision and I'll remove them and install conventionals. So here is the question. After reinstalling the Litronics, can I easily take them out and install the conventional ones by just plug and play? I mean, do they share same connectors, brackets etc..? Loren, maybe you can help me out here. An other thing, local dealer quoted me $1260 each one. Why that much if the upgrades from Techquippment Catalog are $1600 both. Are they installing different ones than the ones that come in the upgrade kit? Mine came from factory installed not an upgrade. And an other thing I'll be interested in conventional ones if anyone has a pair that took out to put the Litronics. Thanks, Ricardo.
