What was the expense?
I think the parts were about $200ea and my dealer charged for 3hr time $225. I ordered the parts through suncoast porsche

I can see bushings are worn by looking at them and probe with a pickel fork. The handling is sloppy. It makes noises going over speed bumps.
Regards,
Scott
my 04CS were pretty worn about 82000 and had both the uppers replaced. improved handling was noticed

On mine (04) with no phone buttons I use the phone controls.
You pair it using a regular PCM custom menu
On the Ipod you get 99 songs per screen
the software fakes out the PCM, each CD is a different function instead of a different cd
great sound, very solid
I have Mobridge with Bluetooth, this is an endorsement. Very cool and DIY capable if your handyHow does the phone work. Just like it was the SIM inside my PCM? Also how do you pair the phones does it somehow add in menu options to do this?
On the ipod front I read something about it being able to get lots of song titles on the screen. how does it do this when its just pretending to be a CD changer.
I have an 04 with Nav but no phone buttons and was wanting to add the ipod/bluetooth combo but when I spoke to mobridge they said it would not work. What did you need to make this happen on yours?
thanks

Try with a new or well known worked magazine first, if no result, let the changer repair.
thanks, it has not worked since I purchased it last year. I just bought a new magazine but no go with that either.

Ok I just got back in town and checked the fuse it is ok, I insert the cd magazine and you hear the changer accessing the CDs, then when I press the CDC button it says no CD available. I have all 6 slots filled and checked with the CD facing either way to verify I had them inserted correct. The CDs will play in the dash but cannot get the CD Changer to play them.
any thoughts?
thanks
Josh
its in the manual, something like left side fusebox, number 17, but you need to check the inside of the fuse cover for the location and the manual for the numberwhere do I find the fuse for this?OK then I agree with Loren, check the fuse. Do you get any error on the PCM display ?Does the NAV system work and read the disc ?Did you check the fuse?the single cd works withe the nav disc or any cd and nav system is ok, when I put in a magazine you can hear the changer load, then I press the cdc button and no dics avail. I have tried a dozen different cds and no luck. even filpped them just to make sure they were not in upside down.
thanks

Josh,
Were you having any tire wear (inside) other than the clunking noise? Did they replace both control arms (both sides and or upper or lower)?
Thanks,
Craig
just the clunking and the drivers side was the only worn one. and yes had tire wear as well from this. big difference after the change less play it seems and steering more firm.

And between $450 and $550 for the partI think you will want to live with the noise for awhile as the starter hides under the intake manifold on the V8 engines. It's a few hours of labour to remove it.
My 04S started doing the squeel on start about month ago, how long do you have before the starter goes? I dont mind the sound but dont want to be stuck somewhere not starting.
thanks

I have the same issue, shop is replacing the control arm since the item is all one piece. The bushing on it is pretty worn and said it cannot be replaced directly. control arm and hardware is $224 from sunset and $100 for install. this will be done end of next week.
thanks

I just had the same issue the PSM and the 4x4 system fault lights came on- just driving on highway and slowed to exit and warning lights started poping on. anyone ever find out what is the cause of this?
I have an 04CS with 75k on it.
Thanks
Josh
Josh.... where are you located... what was the temperature the day the fault occured ?? Was it raining or snowing at the time ?
NE Ohio and was around 32F outside with a light snow. I just spoke to my buddy and he had the same issue and I guess the dealer replaced the servo motor(thats what he called it) and he has not had any issue since.

If that is the case, it apears that Porsche has implemented a poor system (at least in '04). I read somewhere that changing to All-Terrain tires helps and I admit, I haven't tried this but... when compared to driving my wife's Explorer Limited (it does have all terrain tires), there is a staggering night and day difference. The Porsche is all over the road while the Explorer is well under control even around corners. From a stand still I can gas the Explorer and take off at full speed in snow while I can give 10% gas to the Porsche and maybe if I am lucky, take off under control. The Porsche also makes a wining noise when the PSM kicks in. Maybe something is broken...
I am trying to figure out why and how to improve the Porsche performance in snow. If anyone has experience with this, please chime in.
Any help is appreciated.
Aaron
All Cayennes ARE full time 4x4 (except GTS I think)
There is only 1 solution to performing better in snow and that would be snow tires - the more narrow the better. I am currently running Pirelli Scorpion snow and ice...

I am a new owner for a CS04 with PCM-Nav and wanted to see if anyone has added the PARROT CK3000 EVOLUTION BLUETOOTH CAR KIT.
If so can you provide any detailed instructions on the install? I have ordered the Parrot Kit and then also the phone kit from becker.
Thank you for the assistance.

If so can you provide any detailed instructions on install and if there is currently a plug and play connection or does it need to be hardwired.
Thank you for the assistance. :)
