  1. For some reason, neither of my side view mirrors on a 2003 C4S works. Am I overlooking something obvious?

I push the button below the joystick on the left side view mirror pod and then toggle the joystick, and the mirrors don't move. Then I click the button to the other side and toggle the joystick, still nothing. I've tried this with the motor running and with the car off. Is there a particular sequence that is needed? The owner's manual doesn't go into details. Maybe the mechanism is just busted and I need to bring it to the service dept?

  2. With my former BMWs, I remember getting two radio security code cards for the CD player. When the power goes out (ie. unplug the battery), the code has to be put into the indash CD player before it works again.

I didn't get any cards with my 2003 C4S. I'm about to buy a CD4 Changer (will get Porsche Exchange near Chicago to install!!) and I'm concerned about the lack of the security code. Does Porsche use that antiquated system of code cards or is it something else?

    Thanks!

  3. My roof liner is made of that material. It looks like suede. Check out Western Storex in San Francisco. You can try and give them a call. They carry a huge stock of leather and suede. I used to go by a lot when I lived in SF back in the days and buy scrap leather for the interior of scale model car kits.

  4. I've seen it twice, both at the detroit auto show, once in 2003 when it was launched along with the GT2 and once in 2004, where they had a carbon fiber skeleton and engine display as well. My buddy took some pix of me touching the carbon fiber frame as it was not behind any ropes (at least not further away than my arm's reach).
