  1. Would anyone know what size speed bleeders fit an 05 987 caliper - front and rear? The sites that sell them only list them for the 986 series boxster. thanks
  2. Maurice It is the "fold placer" and it is part # 987 561 773 01. I pulled one side of the string and the plastic crimp was there, just missing the other string. I bring it to the dealer this morning for the repair. All thanks for your replies. If any other issues are found on the top, I will post for the record. Jay
  3. I have an 05 non S, and I just turn the volume all the way down if I do not want to hear the radio or CD. Volume stays at 0 next time I start the car. I believe the Nav Commands work fine with the radio volume on 0 as well. I agree - the radio should not have to be on to use PCM.
  4. I have an 05 boxster (purchased used 2 weeks ago), and when lowering the top yesterday, I heard a pop when it was 90% lowered. Upon closing the top, I noticed a looped stringed sticking out of the top on both sides. Further investigation determined the string snapped in the middle, and I am not sure what it's purpose was, and if the top should be used prior to the trip to the dealer. Please see below and advise. Thanks (I searched and searched, but could not find this string anywhere on line)
  5. I just had my 05 boxster done on thursday. It was a 5 hour install. There is absolutely no way I could have done the install myself. The installers really had a hard time where the bumper turns in towards the headlight lenses. Also the lower lip was alot of fun. It is an art form to stretch and twist a straight precut film onto all the compound curves of our bumper. That said, it was a great $550 investment vs. $300 myself with a ton of mistakes. The white line between the film and the bare paint is due to wax buildup at the seam. Supposedly if you are careful waxing, no problem. If
