  2. Hi Guys, I bought my Bosxter in September last year (2.7) 04 plate, From a car dealer in Hull, who i wouldnt now trust with selling toy cars he would probably rob his own granmonther if he made a few quid out if it... anyway.......the boxster has a PCM/Sat nav module. A week after i bought it the sim card tray wouldnt push back in it kept popping back out, so i took it to the dealer who i bought it off and left it with him for a week (apparentley he was going to get some "specialist" to look at it) when i got it back the tray wasnt fixed and there were scratches all down the CD holders from where they must have used some tool or something. So been the guy i am and it was summer and i wanted the car back, i left it and set about fixing the sim card tray in December i bought a new sim card tray for £50 on ebay with instructions on how to fix it.... So i set to work and finally got the PCM unit out and took it apart as it said in the instructions, i put it back together and with fingers and toes crossed it worked! that was until a week later when my battery went flat out of the blue, so i took it into porsche in Leeds to get the battery changed and a new clutch fitted which they said was knackered. They fitted a new battery for me and low and behold a couple of days later it was flat again. I took the car back to them and had to leave it with them for 2 days until they could determin what was causing the draining, the techincian said he spent 8 hours trying to find the cause and said it was a faulty PCM unit and they have quoted me £1500 for a new one. I must have damaged it when i took it apart. So at the minute im driving around with a set of jump leads and a spare battery in my passenger seat. I just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere where i could get a new PCM unit, i know they are made by Becker and i have looked on there website but there dosent seem to be much on there. im sure there must be some cheaper than what porsche are asking for it and they are not hard to fit. Any comments would be much appreciated im pulling my hair out here its my first of many porsches i hope. Cheers Steve
