  1. Ok, post surgery report...

i had to get the Flexane 94, no one had 80 for several hundred miles.

take your time when preparing for the pour, really make sure you seal it up on the bottom.

the ride is stiff, the throttle response is definetly improved. the vibrations on the other had are a little much for my wife, it feels like a race car which in my mind is awesome, but it is a little harsh for daily driving.

i may redo a mount with the 80 to see if it is any better.

anyone have an old mount they would like to sell?

Guy's I am killing myself here where do I find this Flexane stuff. I want to get this done ASAP.

    TIA

    Josh

  2. That e-charger has been bashed allot yet there was a 928 a few months ago in a porsche mag(do not remember what one) that was using one. My whole issue with these are they have two settings on and off. My idea would be on cars post 2000 since they use the drive by wire system. Somehow tap into that were that e-charger would spin faster with more throttle. Please someone tell me I am crazy. Thanks

  3. Here is the story, I installed a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs 6 months ago on my 2000 Porsche Boxster S. I had an alignment done right after by Sparks tire (good shop), two months later tires were eaten up so I got new tires and a new alignment by Alignment Specialist (Best in St. Louis). Then, last week. I noticed my rear tires were gone again. I called Eibach and told them the story. Their tech dept. said it was all the alignment shops that I used, so I went to Park town Motors(local Porsche dealer), and they still could not get it in spec. Again, I called Eibach their tech dept. said “oh it is the bushings or something is bent”. So Friday, 2/18 I drove to Kansas City Missouri to go to Imagine Auto a very well known Porsche race tuning shop recently with their 996 TT on the cover of Excellence magazine advertising a car with 683 WHP and 744 PD TQ. I had them take a look, unfortunately, I had installed everything correctly. I wish they had a better answer for me like I screwed it up. Then they had the car aligned again by their specialist that gets every car in spec., but of course mine still did not. It will not come to anything less then -2.0 camber. The car is also sitting at 3/4" lower than it supposed to. I have spoken with Blaine at Eibach's tech department many times with no avail except to take off the springs, send them in "we" will then inspect them and pretty much tell me how I am screwed. What should I do I have spent $500 in alignments in the last week and over two grand on this project. What are my choices and if I do not have any please be advised of Eibach's lack of customer care that they have and will continue to provide.

  4. Do you have two squeaks or does the car shake inducing the squeak in the hardtop, [probably the easiest to fix]. There is a chirp which can be a by product of a bad starter solenoid.

I hate to sound like a bird, but a squeak emanating from where ?

The top is probably squeaking from either three points, the lower two pins behind the doors, or in the roof center clamping position.

I would say a little WD-40 or squirt of white lithium will stop the top from squeaking.

    Scott

The top is squeking from the clip on the drivers side and it does rattle a bit. and this is constent. (where the top slides into the windshield.)

The starter selenoid how much of a pain is this to replace Diagram by chance and part number. Man you guys are the best.
