  1. There is no difference. The window does not lower/ raise if opened/ closed from inside or outside the car. The window remains in the lowered position until the car is locked using the remote control.
  2. I have recently noticed that the mechanism which causes the side window to drop/ raise by half an inch when the door is opened or closed has ceased to work on the passenger side of my '01 996 C4 coupe. However the window does become 'fully' closed when the alarm is activated. Therefore, I assume that some sort of sensor has malfunctioned, and not the motor itself. Has anyone experienced similar problems or have any idea where I should be looking to fix this fault? Many thanks JR.
