i just purchased some 5000k HID's so they should be pretty close

so it looks like from reading that 5000k is the most desirable color? 6000k starts getting the blue? 5000k is closest to most factory HID kits?

and no retainer ring needed for 986, right?

I personally like the 5000K as it was very close to factory bi-xenon as compare to my wife's Touareg. A little hint of blue around the edges, just like hers. Nice bright white light too. No retainer ring needed. I can PM you more specifics if needed.

I checked the popular sylvania bulb page but couldn't see anything that i would interpret as those... i'll be pulling the lights apart to put in my HID's shortly, so wanted to swap those out for some whiter lights at the same time

i'm noticing something similar... any pump with that vent sleeve on it, i can only fill up 2/3-3/4 of a tank... but if i get the old school ones with just the nozzle and no vent collar, i can fill up to the top...

is this the same issue?

I picked up an '01 Seal grey 5spd Boxster from a local dealership.... it's porsche pre-certified with the 2-yrs, 100k mile warranty....

my questions is what things can i do to my car that will not void that warranty? exhaust? switch out headlights/taillights? audio upgrades?
