  1. go pick up a new set from ddmtuning.com that's where i got mine.. they're $29 i believe now for the set, with lifetime warranty... or a couple bucks more for slim ballasts (that's what i got)
  2. Interesting......My kit was more complicated including an igniter and a large capacitor as well in series with the ballast. I wonder why I had those problems. I may write these autosupermart guys and ask some questions about their return policy and the probs that I had. Thanks, Bob i'm wondering about the complications and difficulties... my install was so easy, and the kit as super cheap... and from a reputable seller (not just any ebay whatever) bulb went in, drilled a hole in the headlight cover for the wires (came with grommet too, to waterproof), then plugged those wires into small box then that box into headlight thing... one piece, easy as hell
  3. is that round thing (i think used for wiper interval if you have that option?) available separately? i was wanting to put a button on that...
  4. any updates? i have the durametric, and want to turn on my OBC!
  5. looking for someone to turn on my OBC on 01 box base in Dallas Tx
  6. they look great on your seal box tomikaze... convinced me to pick up a set :)
  7. i've never done the things you asked about (because i'm new to boxsters but not cars), but i'm handy with tools and would be willing to help out a local... i'm in las colinas now, but moving to lewisville next week... i also have durametric software and a cable but my laptop is busted, but if you have one we can set it up and take a look if you like :)
  8. Seems the little spring has come off its spot to hold in place to make the door storage cover stay in place when up or down... i can't really see where to get in there and move that thing... do i have to remove the pin in the hinge then reinstall it?
  9. took some pics... not sure exactly what part it is that is the adjustment... want to be sure before i start changing stuff... where on these is what you're talking about?
  10. My driver side of the clamshell is crooked (sits lower) when fully opened or fully closed... it seals fine on all sides when up, no leaks, nothing looks crooked when it goes up and down... it's just that the final part of up or down makes it crooked and non-flush on one side... is there a way to adjust it?
  11. the LED seemed as bright as the one in the working unit, just the flashing speed was VERY noticeably different... i guess i could give that a go first... swapped batteries... original remote worked with either battery... spare flashed slow still, didn't keyless, but still lets car start & drive
  12. nevermidn, looks like it's the same part for both sides... smart! thanks a lot!!!
  13. OEM-99663123100 Thanks! looks like pelicanparts stocks it for $11.50 .... do you have the PN for the other side? TIA
  14. yes, #6 is exactly what i need! do you have the PN for it please!?
  15. Looking for the part # for the back piece to the 986 halogen headlight... i have to drill a hole for the HID wiring, but want to keep my stock ones as well... no luck seraching parts sites like pelicanparts, etc..
  16. the LED seemed as bright as the one in the working unit, just the flashing speed was VERY noticeably different... i guess i could give that a go first...
  17. yep, page 184-186 i believe... very simple, took longer to get to the tool than to pop the light out :)
  18. When i bought the car, they gave me 2 keys visually similar and then one with a tiny grey head and no alarm controls (valet i assume)... i've been using one the whole time and it works fine... but i tried the other tonight and while it opens teh door and starts the car, the buttons don't function... i press and hold the button and the red LED on the key flashes slowly, vs. the working one that the red LED flashes quickly... any idea?
  19. Copy/pasted from another forum, just looking for help for him.. and someone replied: to which he replied: any help would be appreciated! Thanks
  20. got my 5000k HIDs and LED city lights in last night... didn't have my camera around but will try to get pics tonight... perfect IMO
  21. In these pictures the HIDs look greenish! But in reality they are blueish, and they match the side lights very well: very nice i just got my HID's and citys in today.. will go in this weekend probably
  22. there's an identical kit w/ more pics on US ebay from a HK shipper.. $1799 + $400 shipping
  23. cool product, but FRP = junk unfortunately all porsche bumpers have a porsche tax in the price so they're ridiculous in price... but if they made that for $1200ish total in poly for the bumper, i'd take it..
  24. What bulb / size did you use for the license plate and where did you get it from? I've been trying to find one to match but I don't want to spend too much experimenting Thanks, azzar0. i think there's another post i made here on RT with LED info, if you search my posts... i got it from ebay user cal-motor ... it's a festoon LED... they come in 37mm, 39mm, and then the next one whch is i think 41mm... i believe the license plate is 2 x 37mm ... the trunk (front and rear) are each 1 x 41mm
  25. These are very close to the ones I got, but mine are a little more blueish, which matches my HIDs. Since you have a lower temp HID then these would probably work just fine. Take pictures and let us all know how it comes out :) azzar0 will definitely take pics to show you as a comparison, i have a pic of when i upgraded the rest of my lights to LED... you can see normal bulb-color in my trunk lit up and the LED in my license plate... i think the difference there will be similar to the difference in regular h7 bulbs and the 5000k hid h7's
