  1. Yeah, definitely I better shop around. It seems to be better to buy it from Sunset Porsche Imports. Thanks for all about information. Well, sure. They are a "for profit" business. Shop around. How much do they want to charge you for the exhaust? And labor? You can buy the exhaust from Sunset Porsche Imports (one of our sponsors) for about $1,800. I was charged 4 hours labor last year from a dealership. They used the warranty labor rate of $125 per. The normal shop rate is closer to $200. It took them a lot longer than 4 hours becuase they ran into a few problems, since my was the very first 987S they did in 2007. I supplied my own parts bought from Sunset.
  2. They said they would charge me $3,400!! A dealership will try to charge you for 4-6 hours. The actual job will take less than 3 hours, if they don't connect the on/off switch. 3-4 hours if the switch is wired in.
  3. How much is it for installation fee for pse? I will try PSE for my 05-S. cheers I just had a cat-back AWE Tuning system installed on my 987 Boxster S. The system adds almost 20 FWHP and sounds GREAT! If you stay off the throttle, it sounds almost stock, but get in the throttle and it sings. Had I not chosen the AWE system, I would have gone with REMUS. Exhaust sound is subjective, meaning, what sounds GREAT to me may not sound good to you. Try and hear the systems first hand before you buy... I am with White987S on this one. 20 RWHP increase with just exhaust - I don't think so... See my blog comments here for more of my thoughts on this.
  4. I didn't mean I need crazy loud sound. It was not just loud enough. How can I search for PSE? Thanks
  5. I've been looking for the good muffler which means loud & good sound. I tried Fabspeed but it was not loud enough. Does anyone know good one?? (I put my topic on 986 forum by mistake! Sorry)
  6. Hi, everyone I got my porshce emblem(Front) bent over. I want to get it fixed immediately. I checked the inside of front hood though, I have no idea how to take off the emblem. I saw the tiny pin(screw?). help me out??!! PLEASE
  7. I heard the sound of fabspeed. But it sounded quiter than I expected. How is AWE(comare to normal)?
  8. to summoboy, Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I agree that tubi sounds great. I only heard the sample sound though, it sounds higher tone than fabspeed. I will check the monaco motors. Thanks
  9. Hi, I got the 2005 Boxter a couple weeks ago, but I am not very satisfied with the sound. I really like the sound after 5000 RPM. Anyway, I am planning to get Fabspeed, or Tubi or AWE. But I have no idea which is good. Price wise, Fabspeed looks nice. And I want to know where to buy or to install it. I live in Encino CA. Does anyone know the good shop? And I also want to know which muffler is good. Thank you for reading this.
