  1. I took my 1999 C2 down for it's Tech Inspection for an up coming PCA event this evening, The tech guy placed the car on the rack and inspected the underside of the vehicle, later he called me over to inform me I had a small leak around the base of the cam sensor, he didn't think it was that big of a deal and passed the car anyway. I also spotted a leak around the base of the oil pan in the corner area along the bottom. However being the Porsche fanatic as we all are, all problems must be immediately addressed. So my question to the board is 1. Has anyone removed the Cam-sensor , 2. Is this a big job or something to do at the next oil change along with the Pan gasket? I guess my actual question should be 3. how hard is it to remove the Cam-sensor? Thanks

  5. Well thanks for the warm replies I don't want to beat a dead animal but I do want the very best parts for my car with regard to performance, price, sound quality etc. The Porsche cars are very specialized as go the parts for them and in my town only two porsche dealers exists and the 911 network is very small. This board allow me a great deal of legitimate information. Very relevant mostly correct and quick to respond. So thanks, And please anyone else who would like to respond about Fabspeed or PSE or any other brand please feel free.
  6. I'm looking at the pro's and con's of getting a Fabspeed exhaust system vs. Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE). FABSPEED 1. Not as cosmetically appealing? 2. Possibly better flow less back pressure. (simple design) 3. has matching sport header system. 4. No extra electronics package i.e.. Speed cutout. PSE (PORSCHE SPORT EXHAUST) 1. Looks better engineered? 2. Possibly better flow less back pressure. 3. Has no matching header system. 4. Extra electronics to worry about. Please respond by A.) indicating Exhaust Type and attribute you like or dislike. & B.) Vote The Better sounding of the two. Thanks Interesting link http://www.fabspeed.com/ (click on Muffler's exposed in the side window)
  7. Hey Has anyone seen a car like this before , is this a Kit or an actual RUF built porsche?
  8. I found this on the internet a 996 make over into a GTR. http://www.albertweb.de/Porsche/Projekte/2...96GT-2Umbau.htm Enjoy
  9. Todd at Autozone obviously does not have the P12000 (whatever number) Porsche code reader diagnostic unit. I guess it is possible to diagnose most things with the Standard OBD2 reader. Anyway I guess if I really want to know I'll take the car in to my local Porsche dealer.
  10. 1999 996 C2 Tip car. OBDII CODES P1144 & P1146 not in the List. Has anyone had these codes before, I have been driving a little more aggressive lately and my check engine light came on today. So I took the car to AutoZone and had the guy check it. Any ideas?
