  1. I think there is a place in TX or AZ that is rebuilding units now. I'll try and find the thread.
  2. I went through this afew months back, Loren was a big help. Here's what I found out. If your spoiler has the brake light, then you need the-04 harness. If it does not then the -51 is the one for you. Interestigly, the c4s aero harness is identicle to the -04, but costs 350$. My spoiler had a light, so I used the -04 harness, worked perfectly, when you do the spoiler switch, you can't use the stock harness, will alarm all the time. Sounds like they may have tried to jerry-rig the stock harness, which never works.
  3. Wolfgang, Mine is on a C4S. The TT lip. I believe you're talking about the motorsports one that is pictured above, they install easy and work well. Chris
  4. Yes, it uses exhisting holes, easy. Runs about 150-250$ in the usa. Sorry no pic.
  5. PDAdrivingschool.com, they sell this 3m plasti stuff by the roll at their events and website. Stick it on and pull it off, looks like sh$t.
  6. Yes, it's back in correctly, I can hear the motor working but the spoiler will not raise. I think when I put the elevators back together I didn't properly engage the 'antenna/arm' back into the mechanism, I'll try that next, any other ideas? Thanks Loren Chris
  7. Just re-installed my retractable spoiler, when I test ie w/ the switch, I hear the motor but no action. Loren HELP! Is there a schematic available on the riser assybl? :help:
  8. It should have no effect at all on warranty. I just don't want to give them any clues that I track my car, just paranoid Doc.
  9. While changing my wheels and tires (to snows) I think I stripped the lug on the rt front. It seemed to be going in slightly rough, when I went to back it out didn't feel right but I was able to fully tighten the lug. Can this be fixed/retapped w/o replacing the rotor/hub?
  10. I just take mine on/off when I go to the dealer, takes 15min.
  11. I need 2-3mm spacers to accomadate my front snow W/T combo. Do I need longer lugs as well?
  12. maqcuda, i appreciate your input, but what should be my next step if any?
  13. So now where does that leave me? The dealer claims the RMS ain't leaking, no drops on the floor(for now) although it did appear wet at the engine/tranny junction, they attributed this to a filler tube. They did a compression check, normal. Driving wise, I do a lot of short trips on the wknd, long daily tripi during the week. I'm at a loss as to where this freakin' oil is going, they replaced the filler tube, I guess we'll see.
  14. BTW there is a guy on rennlist with a 997S with a documented RMS at 7k.
  15. Update; Got it back last night, NO RMS, said the filler tube had leaked R&R done. Compression check normal. I don't know if I believe them, so I'll just follow it along I guess.
  16. Well it's at the dealer now, they actually put it in writing, I was shocked. Still, I said I want a commpression check done, bc I don't believe them. BTW they said it takes at least 1 1/2 days to do a RMS, sounds like BS to me.
  17. I'm taking mine in Tuesday for the RMS thing, never smoked, no spots, just used oil. Saw the leak while on a lift for tires. No big deal, fix under warranty. Out of warranty it's 800$, unless you need an engine.
  18. As y'all know mine has been diagnosed with a RMS leak, taking it in Tuesday. It uses 1qt/1500mi, that may be common but not normal. I've asked them to do a compression check as well, am I being unreasonable? They gave me a little bit of a hassle about that. Secondly, I have some minor mods to the car(FS Airbox, GHL's, Alum pedals, etc). Should I consider stripping any of that off prior to taking it in to avoid a warranty confrontation, or am I being paranoid? PS, I'm assuming the worst for the engine.
  19. Glad it worked. Don't bother trying to adjust things now that everything is working ok. Besides, I don't think that the adjustment tool will fit the BM anyway. Go out and drive your car, give yourself a pat on the back for getting the mod done yourself! Chris
  20. Bavarian, ask me how I knew about that little problem.... have a nice weekend guys.
