  1. Owning a 996 (199) Carerra cabriolet, I wanted to add the GT3 spoiler but this obviously presents a problem as the roof cover goes up and back when opening/ closing the roof. I couldn't find anywhere on this site or anywhere for that matter which suggested a way to alter the mechanism to allow having a larger spoiler on the back. Germansportscarspares in the uk who sold me the kit, said someone had done it, altering the front hinge on the roof cover to dip down lower as it went back, hence raising the back of the cover as it goes back, thereby clearing any big spoilers! Terry for Germansportscarspares has very kindly offered to help me by trying to re-design the front hinge. He is suggesting it needs a similar "s" shaped bracket to the front one. Thats the theory, hopefully will have something working by the end of next week and will upload the pictures. Anyone who has done this and has pictures, please load them up! ;)
  2. Here are the pictures of backdraft's work. been over a month now and still don't want to put the radio on!
  3. Many thanks for the pictures for those who posted them. I printed off the pictures and took them to a company called backdraft Motorsport in Milton Keynes. The Very nice chap who runs the business, took my mufflers off, welded up the pipes and put everything back. The whole thing cost £350 including all labour. I have a standard 3.4 996 and the sound now is fantastic. Definately worth the money if you don't want to get your hands dirty :) I did take some pictures, will get them uploaded so you can see the quality of his work!
