  1. Hey there, did a search for horn and came up empty. I bought a replacement horn for my 2005 911S, can someone tell me where the horn is so I can do the replacement? and, if there are any gotchas to the job (although Im guessing its a "unplug this one, plug this one in". thanks in advance!
  2. Hello, I'd like to replace the shifter knob in my 997 carrera with the turbo knob, simply because i like it better. will anyone post instructions on how to do it? is it really hard and something i should have a shop do? thanks! Michael
  3. I too am going to replace the sound system in my Porsche. I want to keep the stock look and PCM. At this point, I think I will probably use components from JL Audio. It sounds like with a cleansweep and some driver upgrades and a stealthbox and an amp or two, I can keep it looking "dead stock" but make it sound significantly better. I am curious what other options have been presented to you. whats a "cleansweep" and a "stealthbox"?
  4. Hello! First post, excited to say I FINALLY got my Porsche. Took me a while and lots of hard work, but loving it so far. Anyway, just got a new 911 Carrera S (997), and love the car, HATE the sound system. Its the Bose system, and it sounds like, well, Bose. Decent highs, horrible mids, hollow distorted lows. Would you all like make some suggestions for a replacement system? Gonna keep the PCM, but want to replace the speakers and power. Several audio companies also make these appliances that go behind a stock head unit to clean up the output (alpine, jbl). Any experience with these? I'm willing to put several thousand bucks into the upgrade if needed, so please let me know what you all find to be the best options. Only rule is to keep the stock look. No big boxes, no custom cutouts (need to fit behind stock grills). Thanks!!! Michael
